Bethel Day Care Centre provides day care services from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. for older men and women, mainly living in Leeds 6. The Centre caters for older people from a range of backgrounds including African Caribbean.

Services

Lunch club every day Monday – FridaySocial activities including festival celebrations, outings, shopping tripsExercise sessions, blood pressure monitoring, chiropodyHairdressingAssistance with personal care e.g. bathing, shavingTransport may be available for people referred and assessed by Adult Care ServicesUser involvement

Help needed

Volunteers are needed to help at the weekday sessions with activities. People’s special skills and interests can probably be used as part of social activitiesEscorts are needed for outings and shopping tripsCRB checks and references are requiredTravel expenses and lunch provided. Training may be available
