Help

We are always looking for Volunteers to help with the vast range of support services that the charity provides. This can range from: helping at Luncheon Clubs (we provide appropriate Food Hygene training); helping with activities and classes run to alleviate social isolation; trips and social outings; help escorting older people to go shopping; befriending visits to isolated older people in their own homes; helping to organize Carers outings; writing the quarterly newsletter and helping with distribution; office admin; Winter Warmth Campaign, fundraising etc.

Plans

We are awaiting the results of a Feasibility Study, which will determine the direction the charity takes over the next 3 years, in terms of Social Enterprise.

We are looking to develop an Information Technology Suite in Holbeck, primarily for older people. This is because many older people in the area do not have any knowledge of IT. We understand that this skill is vital if older people are to be able to carry out basic tasks to make their life easier. For example: ordering their shopping on-line to be delivered to their door; or paying a bill from the comfort of their own home using the internet; accessing their bank accounts using the internet etc.
