Help

OAP has a policy of recruiting volunteers that live in the area covered by the scheme. We are particularly keen to recruit older volunteers. References are required and all volunteers are entitled to out of pocket expenses, training and informal support. We are especially keen to recruit volunteers to visit a local older person, usually once a week for around one hour. We ask for a years commitment and each person needs to complete a CRB check. We are also keen to recruit volunteers to drive our minibus. Training (the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) is provided.

Plans

We plan to develop the information service that we provide by opening information surgeries in the three local libraries.
